Undiksha Computer Science Student Team has successfully secured 3rd place in the IFEST#12 Web Development Competition. The team, named “Loka Bali”, consists of I Gusti Putu Rangga Adithia Putra and I Putu Tude Rama Prasatya. This competition was organized by the Association of Informatics Students (HIMAFORKA) at Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University.
Under the theme “Exploring Indonesia With The Power of Technology”, the “Loka Bali” team embarked on an innovative idea through a website called “Loka Bali”. The purpose of this website is to bridge the gap between tourists visiting Bali and the local community, particularly the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM). The concept embraced by the team aims to address the issue of over tourism currently affecting Bali by providing recommendations for dining places, tourist attractions, and activities managed by residents.

The “Loka Bali” team recognizes the negative impact of overtourism, such as traffic congestion and the limited economic benefits experienced by local UMKM. Therefore, through the “Loka Bali” website, they strive to enhance the participation and well-being of the local community in the tourism industry.
With a focus on authentic experiences and destinations that have yet to be extensively explored by tourists, “Loka Bali” not only presents tourism information but also invites travelers to immerse themselves more deeply in the natural beauty and culture of Bali. Through this approach, the “Loka Bali” team hopes to make a positive contribution to sustainable tourism development in Bali.
